Deep vein obstruction associated with the lower limbs is common. N. LABROPOULOS and A. JAVVAJI (USA), discuss overcoming the diagnostic challenges in deep venous obstruction while addressing the integration of morphological and hemodynamic testing in clinical practice.

Over the past 15 years, interventional therapies targeting early thrombus removal have evolved as a potentially better alternative for good-risk patients with iliofemoral deep venous thrombosis, aiming to decrease postthrombotic syndrome rates or severity and improve quality of life.
